The Royal Hospital Chelsea
Over 300 years ago King Charles II issued a Royal Warrant to build THE ROYAL HOSPITAL. Sir Christopher Wren was commissioned to design buildings and a fitting community where the nation could care for its old soldiers.
Over the centuries THE ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA has faithfully delivered Sir Christopher Wren’s vision of retirement living to thousands of retired soldiers.

The Royal Hospital for some years has run a successful Souvenir Shop selling gifts to the 350,000 visitors who tour the historic grade one buildings and the museum, and come each year to the Chelsea Flower show which is held in the grounds of the Hospital in May.
The Royal Hospital sells some 70,000 branded items per year directly from its own shop, or via its shop on the web at www.chelsea-pensioners.co.uk.
